On average, the bride’s dress takes up around 8% of the total wedding budget. Have some backup money ready though, in case the sum you’ve allocated for a gown just isn’t enough to buy you a dress you’ve fallen in love with.
Bear in mind that a dress does not need to be elaborate and ornate to be beautiful. If you see a cheaper dress that has the potential to be perfect after a few personal touches, go for it.
